Are you an experienced Protection Relay Commissioning Specialist looking for meaningful projects where your expertise truly matters?
We are looking for skilled professionals to join our growing team and contribute to a wide variety of power system projects. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the safety, reliability, and availability of electrical networks. Your work will support critical infrastructure that keeps industries running and communities powered.
Most of our projects are located in Finland. For those interested in international assignments, there are also opportunities to participate in projects abroad, although international travel is entirely optional.
What will you do?
Your work will focus on protection and control systems for substations, commissioning activities, and technical problem-solving. Typical responsibilities include:
Preparing and executing protection relay commissioning activities
Monitoring commissioning schedules, work plans, and project progress
Verifying and testing protection settings and parameters
Troubleshooting, analysing, and resolving issues identified during commissioning
Collaborating closely with customers, project teams, and other stakeholders
Supporting engineering, design, and specialist assignments when required
Depending on your background and interests, the role may also include technical consulting, engineering design work, and participation in the development of new solutions.
What are we looking for?
To succeed in this role, you should have:
A relevant degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (B.Sc., M.Sc. or equivalent)
Experience in substation commissioning within power generation, transmission, distribution, or industrial environments
Strong understanding of protection and control systems and relay protection principles
Good communication skills in English
Finnish or Swedish language skills are considered an advantage
Willingness to travel if you choose to participate in projects requiring site presence
Experience with protection relay systems from vendors such as ABB, Siemens, GE, Schneider Electric, or similar is considered beneficial.
