Electrical Supervisor/Commissioning Engineer for Energy and Data Centre Projects
ABOUT US
Tekniq is a growing international consulting, recruitment, and resource management company serving the energy, marine, and industrial sectors. Our team currently consists of approximately 80 experts, and we continue to expand our operations and international presence.
Headquartered in Finland with offices in Vaasa and Tampere, we also operate in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Italy, the United States, and the Philippines. Through our global network, we support leading companies and challenging projects worldwide.
At Tekniq, you will join a professional and multicultural team where your expertise is valued and your career development is supported. We are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace and welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
Join us in shaping the future of sustainable energy and digital infrastructure
Tekniq is looking for Electrical Site Supervisors and/or Commissioning Engineers to join our growing project teams across Finland. This is an exciting opportunity to work on some of the most significant energy, industrial, and data centre developments in the country, contributing to projects that power industries, communities, and the digital world.
In this role, you will play a key part in the successful delivery of complex electrical installations, commissioning activities, and site operations. You will collaborate closely with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams to ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, and technical excellence.
Our projects range from greenfield developments to major expansions and modernization projects, offering exposure to cutting-edge technologies and critical infrastructure environments.
This position involves working primarily on project sites throughout Finland and therefore requires flexibility to travel based on project needs. If you enjoy being where the action happens, this role offers exactly that. Rather than being office-based, you will spend most of your time on customer project sites, working at the heart of major energy and data centre developments and seeing projects progress from installation through commissioning and handover.
Whether you are an experienced professional looking for your next challenge or an ambitious engineer at the beginning of your career, we would like to hear from you. Responsibilities will be tailored to your experience and competence level.
Your Key Responsibilities
In these positions, your typical daily responsibilities may include:
Supervising electrical installation work and ensuring high-quality execution on site
Monitoring installation progress and providing technical guidance to contractors
Supporting and coordinating commissioning activities for electrical and automation systems
Coordinating testing, inspection, and measurement activities
Reviewing technical documentation, electrical drawings, and engineering plans
Preparing and maintaining installation and commissioning documentation
Collaborating with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders
Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project requirements
What We Are Looking For
To succeed in this role, you should have:
A degree in Electrical Engineering or another relevant technical discipline
Experience with electrical systems and installations in industrial, power generation, energy, or infrastructure environments
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, technical plans, and documentation
Willingness to travel and work on project sites across Finland
A proactive, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Good problem-solving abilities and the capability to work effectively in a project-driven environment
Basic Finnish language skills and good English communication skills, as projects involve collaboration with both Finnish-speaking site personnel and international teams.
Considered an Advantage
We value experience in:
Site supervision, installation management, or commissioning activities
Energy, industrial, infrastructure, or data centre projects
Modern project and engineering software tools
Swedish language skills
