Electrical & Mechanical Engineers – Marine Projects
Are you an experienced marine engineering professional looking for challenging international projects? We are looking for Electrical Engineers and Mechanical Engineers to join our customer's marine projects in Finland and across the globe.
This is an opportunity to work in demanding shipbuilding and marine environments where your expertise will have a direct impact on successful project delivery, installation quality, safety, and commissioning activities. We are looking for professionals who enjoy solving technical challenges, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring that projects are executed to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, your responsibilities may include:
Reviewing and evaluating electrical or mechanical designs and proposing improvements when needed.
Supervising onboard and site installation activities, providing technical guidance and support to installation teams.
Ensuring the correct installation of cabling systems, cable trays, equipment, cabinets, piping, machinery and associated components.
Inspecting and verifying equipment, systems, and installations to ensure compliance with project requirements, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Supporting and leading commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and system verification activities according to manufacturer specifications and project procedures.
Identifying technical issues, analysing root causes, and implementing effective corrective actions.
Monitoring project progress and reporting status, observations, and findings to Site Managers, Section Managers, and Project Management.
Participating actively in project meetings, planning sessions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
Promoting and maintaining a strong safety culture by identifying risks and ensuring safe working practices.
Keeping up to date with developments in marine electrical and mechanical engineering and applying best practices in daily work.
Contributing to project success through close cooperation with clients, suppliers, and project teams.
What We Expect
To succeed in this role, you should have:
B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another relevant technical field.
More than 10 years of experience within the marine industry.
Previous experience from shipyards, vessel construction projects, offshore projects, or marine commissioning activities.
Strong expertise in either:
Electrical systems, installation supervision, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and project execution, or
Mechanical systems, installation supervision, machinery commissioning, troubleshooting and project execution.
Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions in demanding project environments.
Strong problem-solving skills and a structured, systematic way of working.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Willingness to travel and work on international assignments worldwide.
A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and a strong sense of ownership.
Fluent English language skills.
Fluent Finnish language skills.
German language skills are considered an advantage in certain projects.
